Firmware

Please consult the README.TXT in each ZIP file for instructions on completing the firmware update process. You can use the "Get Firmware Version" command on the Communications menu of Integration Designer to determine your current firmware version. Upon completion of the firmware update, you may need to reboot your remote/in-wall and reload your system file.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you get the error message "Reset the device and try again"
- Close the firmware update wizard
- Unplug the USB cable
- Restart the firmware update wizard
- Follow the instructions in the firmware update program again, making sure to pause 10-15 seconds between each step.

  • This firmware update fixes a rare problem with the backlight not illuminating on some T2+ units. NOTE: You do not need to upgrade your firmware if you are not experiencing this problem.

  • Fixed problem where backlight would stay on too long on some RoHS-
    compliant T1 units.
  • Also includes support for RF transmission to AMX/Crestron equipment.

U1 Version 1.01 Build 512 (ZIP, 8k)

  • This firmware update fixes a problem that causes some PCs to not recognize the U1 when the USB cable is connected. You do not need to upgrade your firmware if you are not experiencing this problem.

  • Added Backup of all settings to a file.
  • Added Restore all settings from a backup file.
  • Changing zone or group volume while a zone is muted now unmutes the zone or group
  • Added remove all zones from group command.

This firmware fixes the following issues:

  • If the Group Name contains special characters that exceed the maximum allowed length, the group functionality may be affected.
  • EQ Presets not working via the driver.
  • Group name setting issue: Modify the name of an existing group and delete the group name until there are no characters. After the modification, the group same name error dialog box is displayed.
  • User setting issue: Edit the created user. During the editing process, click the user add button, and all user information will be deleted.
  • LED display issue: When Amp was powered on by the button after standby, there was a chance that the red and yellow lights would blink alternately for 5s, and then the green light would blink again.

VIP-UHD-CTRL

IMPORTANT: A hardware update to the VIP-UHD-CTRL requires a different FW depending on the serial number of the unit.

Version 2.1 - If VIP-UHD-CTRL serial number is 916-XX5XXXX or higher you do not need to update the FW. Version 2.1  ships on the VIP-UHD-CTRL with a serial number 916-XX5XXXX or higher.

Version 2.03 (ZIP, 6M)

IF VIP-UHD-CTRL serial number is 916-XX4XXXX or lower use version 2.03. DO NOT USE version 2.03 if the VIP-UHD-CTRL serial number is 916-XX5XXXX or higher.

This firmware fixes the following issues:

  • Ability to modify HDCP Mode.

    a.      Bypass: Follows the source encryption

             i.      Eg. If source is unencrypted output will also be unencrypted.

    b.      Force 2.2: Forces output to always encrypt with HDCP 2.2. Regardless of input encryption.

    c.      Force 1.4: Forces output to always encrypt with HDCP 1.4. Regardless of input encryption.

  • Ability to change polling frequency for large systems (75+ TX or RX) to improve stability.

                  Note: VIP-UHD-TX and VIP-UHD-RX MUST be on version 2.3.

This firmware fixes the following issues:

Miravue VIP-1 Version 1.5.0 (ZIP, 104M) - (5/2019)

This firmware update (1.5.0) fixes the following issues:

  • Fix for the VIP-1 expansion drivers do not function with Sony Blu-ray infrared devices.
  • Fix for IP Cameras: Entering an invalid RTP or RTSP URL for any IP camera would cause the OSD to hang-up, after connecting to the stream.
  • Fix for repeated fast-forward, rewind, play/pause commands on DVRs sources result in audio drops.

The previous firmware update (1.4.0) fixes the following issues:

  • Under certain conditions, the VIP-1 may become unresponsive. Possible symptoms include:

    • This issue is specific to source devices outputting audio in the Dolby Digital® 5.1 format. Under certain scenarios, when using devices with this setting, an audio drop-out may occur. The loss may occur when changing channels or using the pause/play function on DVRs.
    • This has been observed with, but not limited to, the following devices:
      • DirecTV® DVR and non-DVR satellite boxes
      • Dish Network® satellite boxes
      • Cable TV receivers from Cox® and Xfinity®
      • TiVo® DVRs
      • This audio drop-out does not affect devices such as Fire TV, Apple TV, and Blu-ray disc players.

UC-IVB-50 Version 1.3.69 (ZIP, 82 MB) - (3/2025)

  • Adjust the partitioning by changing most of the configuration partitions to read-only to reduce the frequency of write operations to the flash memory, which will help improve long-term usage.
  • Added audio output for the HDMI out, which can be configured in the Web GUI. Please note that this feature is only supported on newly shipped units. Please consult the README.TXT in each ZIP file for instructions on completing the firmware update process. You can use the "Get Firmware Version" command on the Communications menu of Integration Designer to determine your current firmware version. Upon completion of the firmware update, you may need to reboot your remote/in-wall and reload your system file.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you get the error message "Reset the device and try again"
- Close the firmware update wizard
- Unplug the USB cable
- Restart the firmware update wizard

FIRMWARE UPGRADE PROCEDURE

  • This firmware update fixes a problem that causes some PCs to not recognize the U1 when the USB cable is connected. You do not need to upgrade your firmware if you are not experiencing this problem.

Miravue VIP-1 Version 1.5.0 (ZIP, 104M) - (5/2019)

This firmware update (1.5.0) fixes the following issues:

  • Fix for the VIP-1 expansion drivers do not function with Sony Blu-ray infrared devices.
  • Fix for IP Cameras: Entering an invalid RTP or RTSP URL for any IP camera would cause the OSD to hang-up, after connecting to the stream.
  • Fix for repeated fast-forward, rewind, play/pause commands on DVRs sources result in audio drops.
The previous firmware update (1.4.0) fixes the following issues:
  • Under certain conditions the VIP-1 may become unresponsive. Possible symptoms include:
    • Unit won’t boot up
    • Stuck on home screen
    • Video frozen
    • Displays a black screen
  • Loss of Audio
    • This issue is specific to source devices outputting audio in the Dolby Digital® 5.1 format. Under certain scenarios, when using devices with this setting, an audio drop-out may occur. The loss may occur when changing channels or using the pause/play function on DVRs.
    • This has been observed with, but not limited to, the following devices:
      • DirecTV® DVR and non-DVR satellite boxes
      • Dish Network® satellite boxes
      • Cable TV receivers from Cox® and Xfinity®
      • TiVo® DVRs
      • This audio drop out does not affect devices such as Fire TV, Apple TV and Blu-ray disc players.
  • Please follow the instructions in Updating.pdf to update your VIP-1 to this release.

AD8x Version 3.04 (ZIP, 2.2M) - (8/12/2014)

  • Fixes zone grouping functionality.
  • It will assign the appropriate name to "AD-8x" in the web interface and in the list of UPNP devices on a network (currently shows "T1 STellaris Serial2Ethernet Module").
  • Adds the ability to reset the unit back to DHCP manually using an RS232 string.
  • Web interface modifications.
